Summer 2000 -COOL: Just a reminder that in warmer months (well supposedly warmer months then) we keep a stock of white, rose and sparkling wines, beers, fruit juices, water and soft drinks in the fridge ready chilled. See the picture on the left to make yourself thirsty... and imagine that these are cold, I would have said low enthalpy, but although the component of the internal energy U derived from the Boltzman distribution of the kinetic energies of the component molecules may be lower by deltaU the presure p is greater than ambient p(underground) and thus the volume V is such that the beer always runs out before the game has finished... So that's thermodynamics for you. | |
