BARON DE LUSTRAC
The leading brand of a small company specialising in old vintages, Baron de Lustrac Armagnacs offer a range of old spirits from the middle of the last century to the late 1980s.
It is a small traditional eleveur with an ageing and bottling chais near Magnan, in the Bas Armagnac region.
Their extensive range is sourced from neighboutring estates in the Tenereze and Mas Armagnac regions.

Since 1887, the Carrere family
has been producing Armagnac near Fleurance in the centre of the Armagnac
region. Through the years Leopold Carrere, grandfather of the current
manager and owner, managed to build an impressive collection of old and
rare vintages, starting in the 1920s.

ARMAGNAC WAS MADE AT THE
CHATEAU DE PUYSEGUR AS EARLY AS THE 1500’s. JACQUES DE CHASTENET DE PUYSEGUR
WAS THE FIRST TO INTRODUCE ARMAGNAC TO KING LOUIS XIII OF FRANCE.

THIS COMPANY HOLDS ONE OF
THE MOST IMPORTANT STOCK OF OLD VINTAGES. THEY SPECIALISE IN SOURCING
AND AGEING OLD VINTAGES THAT ARE KEPT AT THE DOMAINE WHERE THEY HAVE BEEN
PRODUCED, UNTIL BOTTLING. THESE VINTAGE ARMAGNACS ARE LEFT TO MATURE
IN LOCAL OAK CASKS AND THEIR ALCOHOL CONTENT REDUCES NATURALLY TO ABOUT
40% AFTER 40 TO 50 YEARS

BARON DE SIGOGNAC FROM THE COMPANY’S OWN VINEYARD. THE 10ha
ESTATE NEAR EAUZE IS AT THE HEART OF THE "SABLES FAUVES" (TAWNY SAND) AREA
THAT CHARACTERISES THE TERROIR OF BAS ARMAGNAC
DOMAINE BOINGNERES
THE ESTATE HAS BEEN PART OF THE FAMILY SINCE 1807. THE 22ha VINEYARD IS SITUATED AT THE HEART OF THE "GRAND BAS ARMAGNAC" THE BEST PART OF THE TERROIR WITH SANDY FERRUGINOUS SOILS. HALF OF IT IS PLANTED WITH FOLLE BLANCHE (THE FINEST BUT MOST DIFFICULT GRAPE USED TO PRODUCE ARMAGNAC). THE DIFFERENT CEPAGES ARE VINIFIED AND DISTILLED SEPARATELY AND BLENDING ONLY TAKES PLACE LATER DURING THE MATURATION PERIOD.

THIS SMALL ESTATE HAS ALREADY
SEEN THREE GENERATIONS OF THE LASSERRE FAMILY AT ITS HEAD AND THE FIRST
PLANTING OF FOLLE BLANCHE ON THE ESTATE HAVE BEEN TRACED AS FAR BACK AS
1649.
DOMAINE DE RAVIGNAN
ESTABLISHED IN 1736 AND OWNED
BY TWO ANCIENT FAMILIES, THE D’ORGLANDES AND RAVIGNAN. THEY ARE FREQUENT
PRIZE WINNERS FOR THEIR BAS ARMAGNAC AGED EXCLUSIVELY IN CASKS MADE FROM
THE ESTATE’S OWN FOREST (800ha SURROUNDING THE VINEYARD).
DOMAINE DE LA BRETTE
MR. MAGNOL STARTED DISTILLING
AS A HOBBY IN 1964 BUT HE WAS TOO BUSY RUNNING HIS OWN COMPANY TO EVEN
TRY SELLING HIS ARMAGNACS. THESE HAVE BEEN KEPT TO AGE IN WOODEN
CASKS FOR UP TO 30 YEARS. A TYPICAL TENAREZE ARMAGNAC WITH A DISTINCTIVE
FINE NOSE AND POWERFUL PALATE.
DOMAINE DU PEYRON
FROM THE PLATEAU OF THE WILD
SANDS OF GAUBE, DOMAINE DU PERRON IS PRODUCED IN VERY SMALL QUANTITIES
OF NO MORE THAN TWO BARRELS A YEAR. AN EXCLUSIVE AND VERY CLASSICAL
ARMAGNAC.
