FRANCE win the World Cup
What unsufferable news for the English and Scots. Everyone at Le
Tour De France is over the moon. And of course we have sympathy for the
poor English: what misfortune with the penalties, how tempramental that
Beckham can be, tut tut, what a pity (hee
hee hee). Scotland? Did they play in the finals? Oh yes - I think
they won one game - was it against Tristran da Cunha or Pitcairn Island
reserves; anyway they have pretty dresses, and for a country that can't
make wine, the whisky is acceptable. And so to drown English sorrows and
enable the Scottish to drink enough that they believe they can play football
(and still not get a hangover), and to celebrate our upcoming 10th. Anniversary
here, we are offering vast quantities of House Champagne for just £9.95
per bottle. While stocks last, first come first served, no U.K. football
fans sneered at (much). This is our newly dressed
shop window (seen from the inside) shown on the right.
